isn't that amazing?most of the children ,no matter the weather is rainy ,cloudy or shiny or snowy,THEY ALWAYS put the sun in the sky !!! also when i observed them while painting,i realized that 99% of them start drawing and then start coloring their paintings ,from drawing and coloring the sun!...i dont know the reason,but its nice :)

interesting! do we have a children's pshycology major? maybe you can ask a friend of yours, with a similar major, to come to class and analyse some of the drawings.

as a painting teacher,i m just an observer,so i can just try to prepare a calm circumstance for them to paint whatever they want.
but there ,children are divided to groups that each works with a pshycologist,i must confess because of the lack of good management,i dont have any access to any of those psychologists!
for ur information,its a notice in pshycology,that if u work with children and if u analyse them,u have to analyse in a way that children dont realize that they v been analysed,there for the weak work of psychologists,some of children,who dont paint in the class,as a reason,tell me "I hate to be analysed!!!" but i m going to have a talk with one of graphic teachers who is expert in children's painting-he teaches this course in our university-.
That would be cool. you know what comes to my mind? there is this center " Society for Protecting the Rights of the Children"(http://www.irsprc.org/). They might have experts to help you. (You might be already working with them, I don't know)...
